The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies

Bilbo and company are forced to engage in a war against an array of combatants and keep the Lonely Mountain from falling into the hands of a rising darkness in The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies DVD.

The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies is the third and final installment in Peter Jackson's film adaptation of J.R.R. Tolkien's classic novel The Hobbit. The movie picks up where the previous film left off, with the dragon Smaug (voiced by Benedict Cumberbatch) flying towards Lake-town to exact his revenge.

As Smaug unleashes destruction upon Lake-town, Bard the Bowman (Luke Evans) steps up to the challenge and slays the dragon, becoming a hero in the eyes of his people. Meanwhile, Thorin Oakenshield (Richard Armitage) and his band of dwarves have reclaimed their homeland of Erebor, but the gold they have retrieved has driven Thorin mad with greed, causing him to turn on his allies and refuse to share the treasure.

As tension rises between the dwarves, elves, and men, a massive army of orcs led by Azog the Defiler (Manu Bennett) marches towards the Lonely Mountain, seeking to reclaim the treasure and destroy their enemies. With the fate of Middle-earth hanging in the balance, Bilbo Baggins (Martin Freeman) and the rest of the company must fight for their lives and come together in a battle that will determine the future of the realm.

The movie features epic battle scenes, breathtaking special effects, and emotional moments that tie up loose ends and conclude the story of Bilbo and his companions. In the end, the characters must come to terms with the cost of their quest and the sacrifices they have made in order to ensure the safety and prosperity of their world!
